Sarahs 1950’s Inspired Wedding Dress
“When I first met Lizzie I had no idea what I wanted and was so in girly I was scared of trying on and touching the dresses. Fast forward she helped guide me through everything, created a gorgeous dress that was perfect with some hidden “me”. My husband said the dress was absolutely beautiful and she had outdone herself. Lizzie is much more than a dressmaker, she becomes a friend and offers advice generally along the way (plus she tactfully helps guide the bridal party when you need it!) “
Together Lizzie and Sarah designed the perfect dress for Sarah’s wedding day to James in June. Inspired by the gorgeous 1950’s wedding dress style. This frock has the most beautiful french lace applique on the bodice, taken from our Olivia dress. With the skirt full of layers of soft tulle, and a little secret surprise of a few layers of yellow tulle! Consequently, this wedding dress complemented her tipi venue so well and the style of the day Sarah wanted. Relaxed, fun and easy but furthermore still having the formality of a wedding.
Sarah and James had a church ceremony and then a Tipi reception in their field at home, with lots of fun and games for their guests. From the beautiful images taken by Bethany Howorth, we can see what an amazing time was had, but above all, how wonderful a pair these two are!
