Styled Shoot- Boho Countryside

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you are all well and able to do a little wedding planning through this tricky time.

We are delighted to bring you an amazing selection of Boho wedding goodness for you to swoon over.

We popped over to the beautiful Exclusive Use Wedding Venue, Heathy Lea. Situated in the middle of Derbyshire’s spectacular Peak District, for a last-minute photoshoot after their wonderful venue showcase weekend. I don’t know why, the last-minute ones always turn out so well, but this one was a real gem.

We had two fabulous Tipi setups by Prestige Events. A ceremony space on the front lawn, and the reception tipi down by the river.

We were also lucky enough to have two photographers for the day! Danni Turnbull and Fly on the Wall Photography. Today we are showing off Danni’s wonderful images.

The dresses we chose for this shoot was Blossom with the Ophelia lace long sleeved top. Perfect for those boho vibes and field twirling. Our Peony gown with the Rosie embroidered tulle was the second dress chosen for the reception look. With the delicate pink embroidered roses complementing the pink shades in the second bridal bouquet created by Meadows and Mulberry Weddings and the fabulous neon sign!

Big big thanks have to go to Gray Shepherd Events for provided the bar and keeping the cups of tea flowing and Celebrate Catering’s Pizza truck. Yes, they were DELICIOUS.

So sit back and take a little gander through the glorious pampas grass, macrame and pizza, and maybe get a little boho wedding inspiration for our own wedding day.

Styled Shoot- Wilderness Elopement Wedding

Elopement wedding

Good Morning! I hope you are all well and excited about what we are about to show you? Some of you may have already seen this stunning shoot as it was featured on Save The Date, but we have added a few more glorious images. So sit back, have a cup of tea to hand, and be transported into a beautiful wilderness elopement story.

Our Wilderness Elopement styled photoshoot was inspired by the dramatic effects Covid-19 has had on weddings in 2020.

Elopements and smaller intimate weddings are quite possibly going to be on the rise as strict restrictions continue to be in place for the foreseeable future. Because of this, an amazing group of wedding suppliers got together in a Derbyshire field to demonstrate just how beautiful and romantic an Elopement wedding could be. We wanted to demonstrate that just because its an elopement, or smaller wedding, doesn’t make your day any less special. You are still marrying the love of your life and that is the most wonderful and joyful commitment you can make. Love will always win!

The style inspiration for this shoot was also born out of COVID-19. The longing to get lost in nature after months of being in lockdown, and what a better place to get lost in than the Peak District. We wanted to reflect the beauty of nature and the nations newfound appreciation for the countryside. From the beautiful blooms locally grown in Derbyshire to the stunning organic design on the picnic napkins. We wanted to create a relaxed yet beautiful mood that was intimate, romantic and full of happiness.

Florist

The wonderful Nadia at Nadia Di Tullio, Ashbourne, Derbyshire created the most stunning wild bouquet and flower crown, full to the brim of texture and the colours of summer. They smelt utterly divine.

Venue

Heathy Lea as a wedding venue is utterly stunning. Backing on to the beautiful Chatsworth park, there are so many stunning locations for your wedding images. However, teaming that with the raw beauty of the Peak District and we just have major wedding goals right there!

Photographer

I met Chris Smith a few years ago. He was the wedding photographer to one of our brides and I have wanted to work with him ever since. With a wonderful eye for light, Chris can really get the most stunning, stylish images. We have previously worked together on another styled Tipi shoot and he was really excited when I pitched the idea to him.

Styled Shoot- Tipis and Swings at Heathy Lea.

A beautiful, quintessentially English, Derbyshire wedding venue. Throw in an amazing Tipi company and a swing and we have the most incredible setting for a wedding, at Heathy Lea.

Set in the breathtaking Derbyshire Peak District, on the Chatsworth Estate. Heathy Lea is known for being a luxury bed and breakfast, as well as offering gorgeous self-catering cottages. But that is not all, Heathy Lea is also a unique wedding venue. Offering couples exclusive weekend use for your special occasion.

With the stunning Peak District quite literary on the doorstep, there is no limit to the beauty of this venue. The garden’s summerhouse is fully licensed for marriages, so you could say your I Dos outside looking at that amazing view. However, if you’d prefer a church service, there is St Peters in Edensor and St Anne’s Baslow. Heathy Lea can then be used to hold your wedding reception in either a marquee or Tipi.

I first met Chris Smith a few years ago when he photographed a wedding that I had created the Bridal dress for and thought his work was wonderful. I was so excited to be asked to work with him again, and he did not disappoint as I am sure you will agree.

We started this shoot at 7 pm in the evening so we could make the most of that beautiful evening light and it was simply stunning.

The fabulous frock we chose for this shoot was our Bronte design. A gorgeous, relaxed yet elegant dress, created from beautiful layers of silk chiffon, and french corded lace. Perfect for this tipi setting.

So grab a cuppa and relax, as your in for a treat!
